Changes

Well these last 3 weeks have been emotionally difficult for me. I have had some real fun times sprinkled with some real tough times. Brian and i went to the muskegon bike time with a couple of his friends. 2.5 of the days were a terrific time and the other portion was a flash back to how he treated me in the past. That behavior is nothing i ever need to tolerate again. However when we went on the boat last week it was really bad. I ended up so furious and emotional toward him in front of a couple of friends to the point i am not sure they will ever hang out with me again. I told him he could no longer share my room. However he apologized and i let him. We got along real well again for a bit but the other night he kept saying he was coming home soon. He didnt. He came home much later. I
Told him i was unhappy about how he wasnt honest and by the end of it we had a fight. Not as bad as the one a week ago, but enough that he really is out of my room now. Its been 2 nights now and its hard. We got along fine when we watched a movie last night but he doesnt see why i feel how he has treated me is wrong since we arent a couple anymore and i cant get him to understand. Probably this is for the best in the long run. It will be easier for me to start dating this way. I have a couple of "dates" with old friends set for when i come back from the Bahamas next week. I will see how it goes.

My birthday

For my 35th Bday Brian took me to D'Amato's in Royal Oak. It's a restaurant that I just love. I am on their email list so they gave me a birthday coupon that gave Me a free meal. I had a Yummy martini, we shared a spinach gargonzola salad, and we both ordered the filet mignon. At the end of dinner they brought me a delicious piece of warm chocolate cake that had berries drizzled on it. Brian had arranged for them to do that. It was so sweet. The entire meal was so good. After dinner we net some friends at the bar and had a good time.

Shaved dog

I shaved Oreo myself the other night. He didnt stay very still and I have no experience with dog grooming so he looks pretty silly. He wont sit still for a moment so the pics are blurry.

Dance recital

My daughters were in a dance recital a couple weeks ago and they did a beautiful job. Brianna danced in hip hop and jazz and Ella danced ballet.

Clean pond at last!

On Wednesday a friend of mine came over and he helped me clean out my pond. It looks better now than when I first made it! When I had decided to make the pond a few summers ago it was really hot and I didnt really know what I was doing and I got a lot of clay into it. Since then it has gotten dirtier and dirtier. We had to drain it and powerwash it clean and also scoop out many buckets full of cess. It was a very gross job. Of course I also blew a hole through the pond liner with the powerwasher so he took over from there. I am just so happy with it now!

New puppy

So we got our puppy today. I saw him for the first time last thursday and i did not expect him to still be at the store. Out of all the dogs i looked at over the last year, this one was by far the sweetest. He is a cockapoo, which is a fancy and expensive way of saying mutt made on purpose. He is all black with white on his chest, chin, and paws. The girls have started calling him Blackie and the name will probably stick. He was born February 6 of this year.

I had a great couple of days this past weekend. I wont go into details about who i spent it with though because i promised i Wouldnt talk about his personal stuff on my blog. Good things have been happening lately for me and my family. My cousin had a beautiful baby girl a couple weeks ago and my other cousin is having a boy any day now. Maybe even as we speak! My oldest daughter made the talent show at school with playing This Land Is Your Land on the piano. Her performance is this Thursday. My youngest can now spell her first and middle name and can recite most of her address. I just finished up my 3rd college class since January and i am taking one more in May. I just spent my weekend by going out to Fintinis and Hamlin Pub with my girlfriends on Friday and then to a birthday party for a friends son on Saturday. Saturday night i went to a retirement party with some people I know and then on Sunday i went to Frankenmuth with he who shall not be named. We took the motorcycle up. We stayed two nights and Had a nice time there. It was the first time i had been on a bike for more than a couple miles and i really did enjoy the ride. On monday we were out on the bike for around 5 to 6 hours and we rode around in the thumb area.

Florida

Last week I traveled to Florida with my girls, my friend from work and her kids. We drove there and back and the drive took us about 25 hours with all the stops. We celebrated Easter there and also spent time going to the beaches. We went to Sarasota, Siesta Key, and Venice. We also went to Palm Island. We collected sharks teeth and plenty of shells. We went to the MOTE Aquarium and also the Myakka State Park. There we saw alligators and water birds. The weather was terrific.

My pretty flowers

I have to say that it really makes my day when I come into my room and see fresh flowers there. If I have a bad day or I am just feeling a little blue, when I see my flowers I know I have been thought of and I brighten right up. I hope they keep on coming!

A Day At the Movies

I just spent all of yesterday at the movies with a couple of friends. This is the second year that AMC has offered this fun day at the movies. I went last year too! For $30 you get to see 5 movies that are up for the awards and they give you popcorn, you can bring in your own food and drink and they give some time in between the movies to walk around and stretch. This year we saw Michael Clayton, There Will Be Blood, Atonement, Juno and No Country For Old Men. I hadn't seen any of them before, other than Juno. I really liked that one, so I didn't mind seeing it twice. Juno was my favorite of the 5. Michael Clayton was also very good. Atonement and No Country For Old Men tied for 3rd/4th and There Will Be Blood was my least favorite. There was a death theme this year. Juno is the only one without death. No Country for Old Men had a crazy amount of killing. Atonement had war, and therefore death, Michael Clayton had a little bit of death and one scene that I actually shrieked at because it surprised me, and There Will Be Blood had several accidental deaths and a couple of murders. I really just enjoy comedies, adventures and other feel-good movies, so this was a big day of not-what-I'm-used-to for me.

MidWinter Break

Midwinter Break is coming to an end, and I have to say I really enjoyed my week. I took Brianna to see the Spiderwick Chronicles. It was good. Brianna was a little scared, but still liked it. I read the 3 books before, and I thought they did a great job on the movie. I also had a day with just Ella, when Brianna was at my dad's house. We hung out around the house and watched t.v. together. Then I had a nice evening when Brian took me out to the Thomas Edison Inn for dinner. The nerd in me liked watching the lunar eclipse during dinner. The dinner was just delicious, and I had a really nice time. The day after the TEI dinner, we had lunch at The St. Clair Inn. Again, it was a beautiful view. We sat right by the windows overlooking the river. The food could have been better, but it was still nice. Friday evening we took our girls out to Frankenmuth to Zehnder's Splash Village. Brian's mom and sisters were keeping our girls there for the weekend, so we were dropping them off and visiting for awhile. The water park at this hotel was so fun for the kid, and I had fun too. The tube water slide goes really fast and goes outside and then back inside. At night, when you go outside, the tube is pitch black. So fun! The rest of my break was spent going out to the bars with my friends and just having a really good time. Check out the next post to read about my Saturday at the movies.

I went to work today because our district had school even though so many other districts were closed because of the snow. I took my allergy meds and motrin but by the afternoon i had lost my voice and now i just feel tired and conjested. I am in Port Huron with my friend for our college class. We had a really nice dinner and we have class tomorrow. I just hope i can make it through feeling like this.

It's Me!

Things have been going pretty well around here lately.

I started back to college for the first time in at least 6 years. I am working on getting my +15 Master's credits. I'm taking the classes through PLS. I started my first class last weekend, and it's really fun. My friend Michele is taking that class with me and Michele and Amy will be taking the next 3 with me. Since the first one is in Port Huron, Michele and I stayed at a hotel last Friday and we'll do it again this coming Friday. It's a lot of fun. Oops, I said that already!

This week at work I got the chance to present twice to my colleagues. At our staff meeting I presented on how to use Word. A lot of our teacher are used to using Appleworks, but since MAC isn't making it anymore, they need to start becoming more familiar with Word. Then today I held a little 2 hour workshop after school. We need to get 9 hours of "On Your Own" hours of trainings, and some of need those. So, at the request of a few people I threw together a workshop to expose them to several websites that our school has subscriptions too, and also how to use our new school cameras and the iPhoto program. Hopefully I was able to teach at least one new thing to each person. If each of us walks away with one new idea, then I feel it was a success.

I've been working out more often that I had in a very long time. I've been getting up to Fitness USA alone and sometimes with my girlfriends. I've also been doing some Billy Blanks DVDs and circuit training at school with some other teachers. Hopefully our step aerobics will get started again at school too. The exercise is really helping me to feel better.

Tomorrow I go sign my divorce papers. That really makes me sad since I really don't want my marriage to be over. But, there's nothing I can do about it. So, I had to take a day off to drive over to the lawyers' office to sign. His lawyer has been nothing but incompetent when it comes to drafting up paperwork. It has ended up costing me so much more because my lawyer has to keep pointing out the errors and fixing it. She's pretty sure it's acceptable now. I'm just really sick of spending the money.

Brian and I are getting along very well. He's been great with me. In fact, he's been treating me wonderfully for the first time in the 17 years we've known each other. He's been a fantastic dad with the girls too. I'm not going to go into any more detail than that because he and I have great communication and we just discuss things now. I don't have any need to put any more unhappy rantings on here. He's nothing like the jerk that had taken over his body throughout the summer. So, for those of you that enjoyed reading my dirt, I thank you for your interest, but there's not any dirt going on here anymore.

The one last thing I'll mention for those gossip seekers out there: The psycho that caused me pain all summer is still psycho and still trying to be a part of our lives. She's no longer a source of pain for me. I am fully aware of what a loser she is, what a whore she is, and how she continues to prey on men that don't belong to her. If I didn't dislike her so much, she might even have pity from me because she really is in such a sad situation. I don't normally find happiness in someone else's sad life, but her looniness actually makes me crack a smile or two or maybe even three :)

There, that's it for now. I'm off to bed. Good Night!

FW: Phrases to Ponder and Memorize.

Phrases to memorize: People leave you because they are not joined to you. And if they are not joined to you, you cant make them stay. Let them go. When a relationship ends, it can only be rebuilt on a new foundation of understanding and forgiveness. No man is worth your tears, and the one who is wont make you cry. Unconditional love is loving someone through the good and the bad, in spite of their faults. It can be counted on to last.

New Year's Goals

Things have been going well for awhile now. I'm back to work after enjoying the time off with the holidays. It's really hard to get back into waking up in the mornings. My friend Michele and I just signed up for a Master's class through Marygrove. My goal, not a resolution, is to get 15 credits by time I go back to work in the fall. I'm not setting any short term resolutions like giving up all chocolate, because I know that I can't stick to stuff like that. I'd rather set long term goals like get the 15 Master's level credits by September so I can get my raise! My short term goals will include house keeping. I'm such a crappy housekeeper! I'm also planning to continue to go out with my girlfriends and make sure that I don't let the crap in life get me down. There are a lot of crappy people that want to make me feel crappy, but it's not going to happen. 2007 sucked and I don't plan to let anyone ever make me feel like that again!
