How My Week is Going
Things have been going good for me this week. I started back to work and it's nice to see my friends and give my mind something to think about other than my ending marriage. Sure, I'm still grieving the loss of my husband, but keeping me busy is good. It's getting easier to get through this because I am seeing each day how different he really has become. He likes to say I'm "nuts" as he put it, but I'm not sure how he can believe his new "friend" isn't a totally insane, crazy whore. She emailed me yesterday if you can believe it. She's so ridiculous. If they were really so happy in this wonderful relationship of theirs, then tell me this: Why do they both check my Myspace, my blogger and other accounts daily? Why does he run reports on me at work? Why do they spend so much time and energy investigating me, harassing me, and all? Why is she emailing me? If they were to look toward the future, and I mean more than the next time they fornicate while her children are home (what great role models for the children!), how do they really think this is going to work? They've committed a huge sin over and over again with no care about how it's against God's word and how it affects their children, they harass me daily with all this time they spend checking on me and emailing me, he's so hung over daily that he's not giving any quality parenting time to our children, he's destroying his body and soul with his drinking, chewing, smoking, unprotected fornicating, fornicating in general, lack of sleep and I could go on and on. How do they really think that this is an acceptable relationship to expose my children to someday? Our girls should have parents that can communicate with each other. Our girls deserve better than how he's handling this divorce. I feel he's trying to destroy me emotionally and financially. Is that how he wants our girls to live? With nothing left of their mother? Well, I can tell you this. He may destroy me financially, but he'll never destroy me emotionally. I'm am too strong and have a great support system. I have God in my life. My children will also come out in the end better off. Even if he does destroy me financially, I'll bounce back. I've got a great job so I'll be fine in the long run. The big question is, will he? I still am concerned for his spiritual, physical and mental well-being. I mean he used to be a good guy. He's just really lost his way. I still pray for him for the sake of my children. If he doesn't come to his senses and realize the downward spiral he's on, and change his course, our children are going to have to pay for it. So I pray, that one day, he'll care for himself again spiritually, physically and mentally. Our girls deserve that.

Heading Off to Niagara!
My girls and I are heading off to a camping trip in Niagara Falls this weekend. We're going with my sister, her husband and their kids. We should have a great time. It's a beautiful place and my girls have never been there.
Last night I went on the Detroit Princess Riverboat Cruise with my dad, stepmom, sister, and brother-in-law. It was really nice. We had a great dinner, great conversation and it was just overall a nice night.

Nice Afternoon
My girls and I enjoyed a nice afternoon the other day. First we had dinner with my stepmom and my sister Sandi. Then we went to Shadbush Nature Center and took a long walk on their nature trails. We'd never been there before. If you ever get the chance you should go. We really enjoyed ourselves. After that we headed to Erma's Frozen Custard. Yummy! When we finally got home we took a swim in our pool. Here's some pics of us at Shadbush. What a nice way to wrap up the summer. I go back to work on Tuesday. Yucky!

I Love My Wonderful Children
I just wanted to say publicly for my blogger visitors, that I love my wonderful children. My girls are awesome. When I walked into the house today my oldest came and hugged me and wouldn't let go. My youngest is always hugging and kissing on me too. I really am raising two very fantastic little ladies!

I'll be OK
A friend of mine sent me one of those chain emails with the below message in it. She's a very thoughtful person that has called to check on me during this terrible time in my life. I have many friends that have been there for me through this. I also have God in my life, and I've been praying for healing all the time. My days and nights are tough. The person I devoted my life to is gone and I miss him. I'm going through the grieving process at the same time I am dealing with this stranger in my home. This stranger is causing me pain daily and won't leave my house. He is causing me a lot of financial problems as well. I know my husband that I loved so much with all my heart always told me he thought he'd die by time he reached 30, and I remember telling him I was so happy he passed 30 and would be with me, but apparently he did die and was replaced by a shell of who he was. This shell that has been in my life now is cruel, hurtful, sneaky and more. The person that he has let into his life, and essentially mine and my beautiful daughters' lives, is a hateful, cruel person as well. I am so sick to my stomach for the day he plans to destroy our children with the introduction of her. She's just as immoral and sinful as him and I pray that with my influence and the influence of the other people in their lives, that my children will never be swayed into thinking that what they've done is ok.
My children will and should always love their father, it's just so sad who their father has become. I will always encourage them to enjoy their visits with their father, and I will not speak poorly of him to them. They'll discover it all on their own as they grow. Hopefully he'll find his way back to God and some form of a decent lifestyle before they are old enough to realize what his drinking and sex addictions have done to him. He is so precious in their eyes. They adore him, and I'm sad to think of them being crushed.
I was blind sided by this loss in my life, but with God, my friends, and my family I know I'll be ok. In fact, I'll be better than ok. Here is what my friend sent to me:
GOD WANTED ME TO TELL YOU It shall be well with you this year. No matter how much your enemies try this year, they will not succeed. You have been destined to make it and you shall surely achieve all your goals this year. For the remaining months of the year, all your agonies will be diverted and victory and prosperity will be incoming in abundance. Today God has confirmed the end of your sufferings, sorrows and pain because HE that sits on the throne has remembered you. He has taken away the hardships and given you JOY. He will never let you down. I knocked at heaven's door this morning, God asked me... My child! what can I do for you? And I said, 'Father, please protect andbless the person reading this message... '

Boston Cont.
Salem was a blast. We ended up taking the commuter train out to Salem and did our sightseeing. We took a tour at the Witch House and Witch Dungeon. At both we learned about the Salem Witch Trials. All very interesting but horrifying too. I can't believe that people were so ignorant to just go and kill innocent people based on what the girls told them! Then, even after it was decided the girls had made it up, they didn't get punished. Unbelievable! We also had a fun tour with two guys from the Witch City Rickshaw. Us girls sat in a cart being pulled by the guys and they rode us around town, telling us the history of the city. We saw a beautiful garden, a lot of historical homes and more. When the tour was over they introduced us to Lori Cabot, who is known to be the city's oldest witch. She runs a store there. She was really nice. Then we had dinner at Captn's. Our table was outside, overlooking the harbor. Very nice. Great food too! Then we took the ferry back to Boston. It was so nice coming into Boston at night. The skyline was so pretty. When we arrived back in Boston we went on the Ghost and the Graveyard tour. Total tourist trap, but fun nonetheless. We learned some local ghost stories, heard about the Boston Strangler, toured two cemetaries, saw rats running around in Boston Common, all interesting!
The next day we divided up and me and Michele took a tour on the Freedom Trail while Michelle and Amy went shopping. On the trail we saw the same cemetaries and Boston Common, but we also saw the North Church, Cobb's Hill, Faneuil Hall, and more. After the tour we met up with my cousin Mike, who lives in Providence RI. We hung out, had dinner, and walked around by the harbor. It was a nice day.
On our last day we headed out to the Prudential Center which is a skyscraper. That was cool. Then we headed to the airport where more airline nightmares began. We were flying United Airlines coming home. When we first arrived they told us the flight was delayed because of mechanical errors. So, they put us on another flight that would still arrive on time in Philedelphia for our connecting flight. When I called home to talk to the girls Brian said he'd gotten the call earlier. When I asked why he didn't let me know, he said he figured I'd find out at the airport. Thanks Brian! We got to sit in the airport for an extra hour or so because he couldn't be decent enough to call. We could have spent a little more time sightseeing. Anyway, back to the airline. So, we finally take off an hour after schedule and arrive in Philedelphia after our connecting flight to Detroit had left. Thank goodness they put us up in a hotel and gave us food vouchers because we were totally out of money. We finally got to the hotel around midnight and asleep around one. The next day we had to catch the shuttle at 6 a.m. We were sooooo tired. The return flight home was uneventful. All in all it was a terrific trip! We had a great time. I'll post pics soon, I promise!

Boston - Day 1
My friends and I made it to Boston! We had a problem in Baltimore when they told us we couldn't all take the flight. Michele had to stay behind while me, Michelle and Amy flew on to Boston. Michele was able to catch the next flight out and catch up with us about 2-3 hours later. Last night we went to a club called the Roxy and had an awesome time. At a later date I will post pics, but they will be on MySpace, not here! More details about that later. Today we are heading to Salem. We're going to catch the trolley in Salem and tour around. At night not sure what we're doing yet. I really want to meet up with my cousin Mike this weekend, and I may have to break away from my friends a little to do that just because of the plans. That would be fine though. It would be stupid to be in Boston and not see him!
The trip has been awesome with one exception, when I checked my email I had a message that "Becky" invited me to be her friend on My Space. So, apparently, she's a little nuts too !

Pennsylvania and Proud Lake
The girls and I took a great trip to Pennsylvania last month. My niece Sabrina came along to help out. I really did enjoy it, however, it was the first "family" trip without Brian. He called twice daily to talk to the girls, and he spoke kindly to me each time as well. The girls kept mentioning they wished daddy was there for different things, and that was hard, but overall, it was still great. We started out by leaving at 7 p.m. from Michigan and we drove until we were just outside Pittsburgh. We stayed in a hotel the first night and then drove on to the Jonestown KOA. We stayed put at the campsite that first night, did some swimming, made a fire and smores. In the morning we drove down to Lancaster and went to an Amish house and farm museum. We toured the area and learned about the Amish. Then we went to Dutch Wonderland, which is an amusement park for 12 and under. The next day we drove to the Indian Echo Caverns and took a cave tour. Then we headed to Hershey to go to Chocolate World. While we were there we saw the 3D movie. It was Ella's first and Brianna's first that she could remember. Then we took a "factory" tour to learn how chocolate was made. The kids had us take that 3 times since it was free! We also had a trolley ride through the town and learned the history of Hershey. The next day we went to the ZooAmerica and enjoyed the zoo. Then we headed to Harrisburg and drove around. We also went to their City Island Park which was nice. We played miniature golf and walked around the island. That night we went to visit my Aunt Kim that lives in Hershey and the next day we headed home. We drove to Pittsburgh on the way home thinking we'd visit the zoo or aviary. What a mistake! That is the most awful city to drive in. We ran into so many problems, signs not right, mapquest directions not right etc! We finally found the zoo 20 minutes after they stopped letting people in. So we finally found a McDonald's to eat at. I then found out that the hotels in Pittsburgh were all booked because of a conference for conference organizers of all things! The cheapest hotel available was way too much, so we left Pittsburgh with the decision to NEVER go back there again. We found a hotel with a pool in the same city we had stayed in on the way to the KOA and enjoyed the night. The next day on the way home, we went to the African Wildlife Safari in Port Clinton Ohio. If you've never been there, you should give it a try. We fed all kinds of animals through the car windows and the kids got pony and camel rides too. Ask me someday about the giant cow that got its horn stuck in my car. It was hysterical, even though I was left bruised and the ceiling dented.
The weekend of July 28 I took the girls camping for two nights at the Proud Lake State Park with my sister-in-law Sarah, her son Kyle and her cousin Lori, her daughter Erica and Lori's friend Angela. We had a good time canoing, swimming and hanging out.
Upon return home from our nice trip to Pennsylvania Brian began acting like a complete jerk. He now is ignoring me on his best days and calling me names on the others. Let me just say that this divorce is uglier than it needs to be. He's treating me like I'm the one who broke his heart and exposed him to STD's, when it's the other way around. But I'll leave my complaints about him for another posting.
